Unveiled at MWC 2014, the 8 inch Huawei MediaPad M1 tablet, the 8 incher 4G LTE model has been offered for sale on a few retailers on China. Apparently Huawei and Far EasTone are offering this product with 4G services associated.
Huawei’s tablet offers support for 700 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz and other bands and from what I understood you can also get it for free on contract. This model packs an 8 inch IPS display with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, Android 4.2 and a 1.6 GHz quad core processor. 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage and a microSD card slot are also in the mix. The device measures 7.9 mm in thickness, packs a 4800 mAh battery and weighs around 329 grams.
The screen has a narrow bezel of just 5 mm in width and 4G connectivity offers download speeds up to 150 Mbps. This model was actually seen by many as sort of a bigger HTC One clone, since it has those dual front speakers and a design that makes us think of the latest HTC flagships. Hopefully the price off contract will be decent…
