The Chuwi V99i tablet was announced in April and back then it was a bit of a premiere, since it was one of the few models of Android slates with 64 bit processors. Today we learn that the product is coming to stores next month.

V99i

This tablet model relies on an Intel Bay Trail processor, the Z3735D and it also includes a Retina-style display, with a diagonal of 9.7 inches. After Chuwi tested the waters with a 7 inch 8 core slate and an 8 inch MediaTek quad core device, this is the next step in their summer releases. Chuwi V99i is actually one of the few Intel 64 bit tablets that adopts a diagonal closer to 10 inches, rather than a small one.

Other Chinese brands opted to bring the 64 bit CPUs to smaller formats. Anyway, the V99i measures only 7.9 mm, so it’s also pretty thin and it offers support for Huawei 3G modems. Store debut should take place around July 1st and the price is said to be good, so I expect something in the range of $250 or maybe even $200. Getting one?
