This Fall Apple didn’t release any new iPads, which is atypical for the company, but with the whole tablet segment stagnating, it kind of makes sense. This means that the upgrades to the iPad Pro and Mini lineup have been postponed till 2017 and today we have some info about them. Turns out we’re about to get an iPad Pro with bezel-less design.
Rumors also talked about a bezel-less display iPhone, so adopting the same approach for the iPad makes sense. The new report we came across says that the new iPad Pro will be 10.9 inches in diagonal and it should debut in March 2017. In spite of the bigger diagonal, it’s said to keep basically the same size as a 9.7 inch iPad Pro, on account of the bezel being removed.
This is not the first time we’ve heard of such an iPad size, since KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also alluded to a 10.5 inch model a few months ago. It’s not very clear if it’s a 10.5 or 10.9 incher and we can’t help but wonder what will happen with the 9.7 inch iPad Pro launcher earlier this year. We have no info on a new iPad Mini, but speculations say Apple could skip a new release in 2017 as well.
Meanwhile, the iPad Pro 12.9 inch could get a True Tone screen refresh.
