ZTE debuted its latest 8 inch tablet, the Grand X View on the carriers Virgin and Bell and this model feels more like a bigger phone than a regular slate. It’s a low cost LTE tablet, that has some pretty solid specs.

This model offers an 8 inch Full HD display, as well as an octa core Snapdragon 615 processor, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. Also on board there’s a 5 megapixel back camera and a front 5 MP shooter, plus a 4620 mAh battery and LTE connectivity. Android 5.0 Lollipop is the OS of choice here and while ZTE isn’t exactly a famous brand in Canada, the devices it churns out have become more good looking and well specced over the past 2 years.

ZTE Grand X View costs $240 outright, or you can get it by paying $10 per month on Bell and Virgin’s financing plans. This device uses a micro SIM card slot and does LTE in 6 bands, plus HSPA in 3 bands. It also has a GPS and measures 8.95 mm in thickness, plus it weighs 330 grams. Canadians can get it here.
