ZTE held an event this week, meant to debut the ZTE Axon 50 Ultra flagship phone, but it wasn’t alone. They also debuted the ZTE AxonPad, a tablet with 12.1 inch screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.
The AxonPad has a 10.000 mAh battery and charges at 80W. There’s a 12.1 inch IPS display on board, with 2.5K visuals and a 120 Hz refresh rate. There are also some extras here, like an in house security chip, that offers hardware level encryption. AxonPad uses a 12.1 inch IPS display with a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio, plus 120 Hz refresh rate.
It weighs 605 grams and measures 6.5 mm in thickness before including any sort of case. The slate will be available with a keyboard cover and an active stylus. The tablet has 5G connectivity, supports stylus input and a smart magnetic keyboard. It runs on Android 13 with MyOS 13 on top. We sadly don’t have a price or launch date for the Axon Pad, but honestly I don’t expect it to leave China anytime soon.
Also, the slate, unlike the new ZTE Axon phone doesn’t have satellite messaging capacity.
