Ever since last year there have been at least a dozen gaming tablets to cover and the majority of them resembled either a PSP or an Xbox controller. Most of these devices run Android and always throw in a few supported/button mapped titles as a catch. Now we’ve got a new model, from the company Tekniser, a name I’ve surely heard before, but I don’t know where…
The gadget is called Tekniser Tek 807D and it looks like a PSP that has been flattened by a car… in a good way. Just like the Archos Gamepad, this model will be sold in Europe this summer and it has a pretty appealing price tag of 150 euro. The Tek 807D integrates a Rockchip RK3066 Cortex A9 dual core processor with ARM Mali 400 Quad graphics, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage.
There’s also a microSD card slot on board, a 7 inch display with 5 point multitouch and a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. There’s a HDMI out port on board as well and the whole thing weighs 350 grams. Its battery should provide 9 hours of fun and before you get all excited, frankly speaking, I’m sure you can get a 10 inch tablet with the same hardware specs for 50 euros less… Just think about it!
