The Vivo Xplay 3S is a 5+ inch device that’s coming later this month and press invites have already started being sent, which is exactly what I want to describe below. There’s an augmented reality surprise here, as shown in the video below.
Chinese phone makers have a good reputation when it comes to press invites, since the likes of Meizu have sent glass invitations in the past, while Xiaomi sent them in gift boxes. Now if you look at the Vivo invitation you can see a 3D house or building popping up with a projector in the center and a presentation on the big screen.
The Vivo Xplay 3S is the first 2K display smartphone, one that features 3 GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 800 CPU and a F/1.8 aperture back camera. This device sounds like a premature Galaxy S5 rival, since it’s also rumored to have similar specs and maybe a more powerful CPU.
