ViewSonic has just announced the availability of the ViewPad 10 tablet, that was announced in November 2010. This device is based on the Intel Atom platform and it’s priced at $599, in the 16GB SSD Win 7 version, or $679 for the 32GB SSD Win 7 Professional version.

The slate features a dual boot configuration, allowing it to run either Android 1.6 or Windows 7, depending on the user’s preferences. ViewPad 10 uses a 10 inch 1024 x 600 pixel touchscreen, a 1.66GHz Intel Atom CPU and 2GB of memory. Connectivity-wise, you get WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, while the imaging side is handled by a 1.3MP front webcam.
