The usual leakster @evleaks published a picture of a yet unlaunched tablet dubbed Verizon Ellipsis. This is a 7 inch carrier brand slate, that’s pictured below and seems to be a run of the mill device with average specs.

We don’t have other info aside from the picture, but the US Patent and Trademark Office does have the Ellipsis on file, so it’s real. There’s also an Ellipsis 7 model mentioned in the documents. Verizon didn’t offer a comment on the leak, but did admit that the trademark exists. My guess is that we’re dealing with a 7 inch Android 4.3 unit with a resolution of 1280 x 800 and modest specs.

Those may include 1 or 2 GB of RAM, a 1.2 MP or more front camera and 16 GB of storage, plus microSD card slot. Verizon could be playing the cheap LTE device card, by offering this device with a very low price and appealing 4G LTE plans. After all we can see a signal bar on the screen and 4G next to it…
