Ulefone is gearing up to expand its budget tablet lineup with two new models: the Tab A9 Pro and a kid-friendly variant, the Tab A9 Pro Kids. Both are set to launch on September 15, following last year’s Tab A10 Pro, and we’ve already got a clear look at the specs, pricing, and design.
The Tab A9 Pro is the more conventional option, built around an 8.68-inch 1340×800 LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate, 400 nits of brightness, and Widevine L1 support for full-HD streaming. Inside, it runs Android 15 on a Helio G91 processor with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of expandable UFS 2.1 storage (up to 2TB via microSD). It also packs LTE connectivity, dual stereo speakers, and the rare inclusion of a 3.5mm headphone jack.
For cameras, Ulefone has fitted the Tab A9 Pro with an 8MP front shooter, a 12MP main rear sensor, and a 13MP ultrawide with a 136.5-degree field of view. A 5,040mAh battery with 18W USB-C charging powers the hardware, all wrapped in a 7.9mm thick body weighing 326.5g. It’ll ship in Marble White or Galaxy Blue for just $99.99.
The Tab A9 Pro Kids is essentially the same tablet dressed up for children, with a chunky protective case, a dual-tip stylus, and a dedicated Child-Friendly Mode (though Ulefone hasn’t detailed what the software tweaks include). Without the case it weighs nearly the same as the standard model, but with the bumper attached it jumps to 516g. Available in Pink or Blue, it’s priced slightly higher at $109.99.
With aggressive pricing, expandable storage, and LTE support, the Tab A9 Pro looks like a low-cost media slate for casual users, while the Tab A9 Pro Kids is clearly pitched at parents wanting an affordable, protected tablet for children. Both hit the market September 15.
