Toshiba has just made its portofolio of tablets even more confusing, by launching a new slate in Italy dubbed LT170 and running Android. This device uses a Freescale CPU and comes with a 7 inch display, supporting a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. The tablet is pictured below and also brings 512 MB of RAM.

The device provides 8 GB of storage and its brain is a Freescale i.MX53 processor at 1 GHz. Just like a ton more Android devices, this one has a microSD card slot, a microUSB port and it’s a pretty light and thin slate. The LT170 weighs 388 grams, so it’s officially the lightest slate in the 7 inch area and I must mention that it also comes with a 2MP rear camera and a front 0.3MP shooter. Its battery is a Li-Ion unit with enough juice for 7 hours of video playback. While the specs may not be that strong, this Toshiba model has some accessories to make it more appealing.

They include a slim case and screen protector and you’ll also find a blue satin back on it. The product will be sold in Italy starting with the end of March for 299 euros. You can already preorder it in some stores, if you want to get a 11.5mm slate made by Toshiba.
