It was rumored last week that Toshiba would be working on a 7 inch tablet and we covered this matter here. The device also got a name, or better said a codename: AT7-A and now that name is back with a few more details attached to it.
It appears we’re dealing with a model that will be launched in Q3 2013, according to the sources quoted by Digitimes. Toshiba’s supply chain partners have already received orders for the production of this tablet, apparently. The 7 inch 1024 x 600 pixel slate will pack a 1.6 GHz processor and presumably 1 GB of RAM.
It is said to be running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box and the rest of the specs is pure mystery. The AT7-A will be a midrange tablet, somewhere in the range of $300 or so, battling it out with the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 and models from Acer and ASUS. Will it prevail?
