UK carrier Three is launching quite a few budget tablets lately, with the newest one being the Gemini D7 model, shown below. This one is a low spec device, that will be bundled with a portable MiFi accessory, keeping the price even lower.
It was last week that Three UK was announcing the availability of the Alcatel One Touch Tab 7 and now this model comes along. Gemini D7 packs an unnamed dual core ARM processor with a Mali 400 GPU, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of storage. The CPU here could be an Allwinner or Rockchip, but that hasn’t been made clear.
The screen is 7 inches in diagonal and the resolution is a mere 800 x 480 pixels. The Amazon Appstore is installed by default here, aside from the Play Store and the Gemini D7 is priced at $160 with the unnamed portable MiFi device bundled. Or you can buy that Alcatel slate for a cheaper price…
