Even if on the market we see a lot of rugged tablets, they’re not as good as the producer suggest, this grade depending on the level of durability, performance speed and sunlight readability. The guys from Xplore just introduced new rugged tablets, and one of the most upgraded model it’s the Xplore iX104, an ultra-rugged tablet that comes with double the performance speed, a 30 percent increase in sulight-readability, an innovative rugged multi-touch display and Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 Pro OS.
The 2nd model, the XC6 tablet it’s one of the toughest and highest performance product from Xplore. This will work in any kind of enviroments, from middle of the desert or in the freezing rain. The Xplore XC6 can resist a seven-foot drop and it’s certified for water and dust proof. Inside the case we find an Intel Core i5 processor, 4G LTE, 256 GB SSD and a battery that lasts with up to 30% more.

Because of the 1300 NIT display, the XC6 tablet can be used even in direct sunlight, offering the clearest visibility available out there for tablets. Also the screen packs the Analog Matrix Resistive technology that facilitates tablet to be used while wearing gloves or in soaking wet condition.
This new model can be used in a lot of applications and industries like military operations, oil and gas, utilities, transportation, construction or in any other hard-work. The Xplore XC6 series will be available in three different variants with prices starting at $5.299. These three models can be found below:
- Xplore XC6 DMSR – offers dual-mode sunlight readable display and 4G LTE capabilities
- Xplore XC6 M2 – comes with a common access card reader for increased security, made mostly for military and government applications. It also comes with 461F certification for operation on military frontlines and in fixed-wing aircraft
- Xplore XC6 DM/DML – ideal for less resource-intensive applications and ambient outdoor or indoor ight conditions
