Teclast has a new tablet out there, an affordable model with an Intel Apollo Lake processor and Windows on board. The slate has an 11.6 inch Full HD screen and it’s quite affordable at $359, on GeekBuying. You can also preorder it on GearBest.com.
The tablet has 6 GB of RAM and judging by its format and design, it intends to be a Surface Pro alternative and rival. The device doesn’t come bundled with a keyboard, just so you know, in spite of it being pictured with one. There’s a built in kickstand here, propping the slate at a comfy angle for watching videos and working. This is a pretty compact device, that brings 64 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and USB 3.0 port, plus micro HDMI out.
On the connectivity front there’s WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and the battery is a pretty solid 8000 mAh unit. Windows 10 Home is the platform of choice here and the graphics bit is taken care of by Intel HD Graphics Generation 9. Active stylus support is also included for scribbling notes and drawing. There are two cameras on board, a 5 megapixel main one and secondary 2 MP for videocalls.
