Teclast’s tablet with the high benchmarks from a few days ago has been offered for presale today and this model is an 8.9 incher apparently. When the Teclast model was leaked a few days ago, not many details were revealed, but today we know more about it.
Inside we get 16 GB of storage and this model also comes with WiFi and the powerful Rockchip RK3288 processor. The product’s name is the Teclast P90HD and it supports a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, uses an 8 megapixel back camera and 2 GB of RAM. The OS of choice is Android 4.4 KitKat and the price tag is a very, very good $256. There also seems to be a front camera in the mix and the back camera appears to have a flash.
If I’m not mistaking the UI is customized on top of Android, judging by the images. In case you’re wondering what the deal is with the Rockchip processor since we keep mentioning it, well, it’s the first SoC based on quad core Cortex A17 technology, it has a powerful 3D GPU with OpenGL ES 3.0 and DirectX 11 support and it’s also the first SoC with real 4Kx2K video decoder.
