TeamViewer is one of the most reliable solutions when it comes to controlling a Windows PC from an Android device. The app just got a serious update, to version 8.0.1017, that seems focused on tablet users, more than anything else.

This new version brings gesture input, instead of having to move the cursor and the ability to remote control Windows 8 computers using Win 8 native gestures. There’s also a revamped settings area and a new registration site for Computers and contacts, as well as new app instructions and Android 4.2 optimization.

Other improvements and bug fixes were included. The app is available for free, it can be download from here and it only takes about 10 MB of storage. All you need to do in order to use it is have it installed from Google Play on your tablet and then on your PC and enter your computer’s TeamViewer ID and password on your Android device.
