Weirdly enough, the Surface Pro 3 is the talk of the town these days, after seeming to sell well for a while. Various retailers are quoting lower stocks, as the device sells well and beats expectations.
It all started when the Surface Pro 3 launched in the 25 markets outside US and incredible demand ensued. This also lead to variations of availability. Retailers in Australia have completely run out, while the Chinese retailers have sold out the Core i7 and Core i5models. New Zealand, Germany and Korea are also registering harder to find models.
Even the UK retailers have a hard time keeping up with demand. Microsoft has stated that they are trying to ship devices to replenish the supply and that availability will improve in the next week or two. MS based its distribution on the numbers of the US market, but their expectations were beaten. I guess those anti iPad ads paid off…
