Sony Xperia Z Ultra has debuted a few weeks ago, but so far we had no credible launch date for the phablet’s store arrival. Well, it appears that retailer Unlocked Mobiles is suggesting that Sony will offer its product on September 12th.
The Xperia Z Ultra is a monster of a device, with a 6.44 inch diagonal and it has a very powerful CPU and fancy design. Sony goes against Samsung here and its giant Galaxy Mega units, but it also counters the possible success of the Galaxy Note III, that’s coming a month from now at IFA 2013. The Xperia Z Ultra was announced in June and it comes with a microSIM card slot, a 6.5 mm waistline and it’s water and dust resistant.
The phablet weighs 212 grams and it incorporates a 6.44 inch Full HD Triluminous display, that’s shatter proof and scratch resistant. Other specs include 2 GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, 16 GB of storage, HSDPA 42 Mbps connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and an 8 megapixel camera with HDR, sweep panorama and Full HD video capture. The battery inside is a 3050 mAh unit and the CPU is a Snapdragon 800.
