Sony may have not brought a new Android flagship tablet at CES 2014, but @evleaks has it on good authority that there’s such a slate in the works. He even has a codename for it and some details, that you’ll learn from the tweet below.
Sources say that the product codenamed Castor may see the light of day at MWC 2014 next month in Barcelona. It’s been about a year since the Xperia Tablet Z went live, so it’s time for a follow up pretty soon. We have very little intel on the Sony Castor, aside from the fact it will sport a high powered version of the Snadpragon 800 processor and it will have several connectivity versions.
Those include cellular radio and a WiFi unit. Sony Castor is expected to run Android, but there’s that slight possibility of a Windows device here. We also expect stuff like a solid 8 MP or more camera at the back, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage and a microSD card slot on board.
