Qualcomm will host its annual Qualcomm Reference Design forum in Shenzhen tomorrow, on June 20 and we’ll see new solutions and probably new deals will be struck with Chinese companies and white box makers. MediaTek has the advantage of lower prices, while Qualcomm has the advantage of working with big companies and already gaining the trust of customers.

Qualcomm recently claimed that they are present on more than 200 new smartphones and tablets in 14 countries, all of them models launched recently. This puts extra pressure on MediaTek, but keep in mind that there are also other interesting third parties, like Rockchip or Allwinner.
