Sharp’s Mebius Pad tablet has been announced a while ago, in September, but we haven’t heard from it till now. The device has been confirmed for a January 2014 launch and it stands out through a nice looking 10.1 inch IGZO display.

The device runs Windows 8.1 and integrates a 2560 x 1600 pixel IGZO LCD screen, that looks pretty impressive. Specs also include an 8 megapixel rear camera, a 2 megapixel front shooter and inside we’ve got Intel’s latest Atom Z3770 Bay Trail processor and 4 GB of RAM. There’s a 64 GB SSD on board as well, plus a microSD card slot and LTE compatibility.

The battery is supposed to offer 15.5 hours of functioning time. Sharp Mebius is both water and dust proof and it measures 9.5 mm in thickness, while weighing 595 grams. This model has very few physical buttons, including the volume rocker and a dedicated Quick Button on the right side that launches Sharp’s QuickAgent service, that should handle settings and task management.
