Shanghai Motorola just announced a fresh ebook reader, dubbed the EM1, that you can check out below. The device maker’s full name is pretty long – Shanghai Motorola Telecom Product Trading Company (dubbed SMP) and if you’re wondering, this is a joint venture of Moto and China Putian Eastern Communications Company.
To end the branding matter, the e-reader is branded SMP and not Motorola. EM1 is based on Android 2.1 and comes with WiFi, a 6 inch 16 gray level E-ink display and a battery with 15 hours of standby time. It measures 198mm x 129mm x 9.5mm and weighs 260 grams. For $450 this product can be yours.
