Screen casting is a popular activity for people with compatible devices and the Chromecast in their homes, but today we learn that support for this feature has arrived to some devices that didn’t have it before. For example, the TrekStor SurfTab xintron i 7.0 tablet, a model priced at 199 euros on Amazon.de has received support for this.
You can now mirror the TrekStor SurfTab xintron i 7.0’s display to a TV via casting. Just in case you’re wondering what’s up with this tablet, it’s a 7 inch 1280 x 800 pixel model, so don’t fret about it. It’s also pretty midrange or even low end, with 1 GB of RAM and an Intel Atom Z3735G inside. Owners of the more famous Tesco hudl2 from the UK are also able to do screen casting starting this week, as well as Nexus 9 users.
Back to the SurfTab above, know that it includes a free DVT-T Stick, so fans of TV viewing on the go will be happy. It also has a 5 megapixel back camera with autofocus, a front 2 MP shooter and Miracast feature. Expect casting to expand to more devices, as more and more Chromecasts are sold.
