It appears that aside from the Galaxy Tab A series and the new Galaxy Tab S2 models, Samsung has yet another slate range planned for 2015. The so called Galaxy Tab E lineup has leaked, under the codename SM-T56x. It has been listed both in a Taiwanese magazine and spotted on Samsung’s website through an user agent profile.
The first model to leak was the SM-T560, that features a 9.7 inch screen, with a 1280 x 768 pixel resolution. It’s not a 4:3 aspect ratio tablet, in case you’re wondering, like the Galaxy Tab A or the Galaxy Tab S2 units. It could just be the Galaxy Tab 5 series, that has been rumored a while ago. This slate also brings a 1.3 GHz quad core CPU, a 5 megapixel back camera and it will be running Android 5.0 Lollipop.
It could feature the same TouchWiz UX as the Galaxy S6, or maybe a lighter version. Anyway, in the meantime, two new tablets, codenamed SM-T561 and SM-T560 have leaked, both spotted on Samsung’s mobile website. They are listed with a 1.3 GHz processor, but the resolution is different this time: 1280 x 800 pixels. We’ll learn more when Samsung decides to announce one tablet series or the other…
