We’ve known for a while that Samsung was trying to get Android 7.0 Nougat to all of its relevant devices and today we spot one of them with this OS in tow. It’s the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0, launched quite a while ago and still sporting some solid specs.

The device was listed in GeekBench with Android Nougat on board and it seems to be going through some testing these days. The 9.7 inch version of the slate also leaked in the same benchmark a while ago. The listing shows the codename SM-T719, meaning we’re talking about the 2016 version of the tablet, the updated one launched in April last year.

That model relies on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor and ran Android Marshmallow when it came out. No idea if the regular and older version will also get the Nougat treatment, but that should also happen soon enough. The tablet has a Super AMOLED panel and a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, plus an 8 megapixel main camera and 3 GB of RAM. Nougat seems to be bringing some pretty solid benchmark results here.
