Turns out that the Samsung Galaxy Tab M62 tablet is real after all and its production has begun in India. This is the first Galaxy Tab M series product and it’s a translation of the Galaxy M phone series into the world of tablets. Let’s see what we know about the device.
The production of the Tab M62 has started at the company’s facility in Greater Noida. The new slate will the model number SM-M625F and packs 256 GB of on board storage, according to recent leaks. The device could be placed between the Galaxy Tab A and Galaxy Tab S lineups of products. Some even say that it may end up cheaper than the Galaxy Tab A even. We expect a lower end Exynos CPU on board, maybe the Exynos 9611, plus 4G LTE connectivity and 6 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
Honestly, I’d prefer a Snapdragon processor inside and also a large battery, which has kind of been a trademark for the Galaxy M series for the past few months. Since the new slate is below the Tab A range, I expect a TFT LCD display on board, or IPS LCD at best, but definitely not a Super AMOLED. Expect a price of less than $200 if all goes well. The plastic build is also very likely and I’m not sure about the diagonal, but there should either 8 inches or 10 inches.
Expect to see more products from this range launching soon.
