Samsung may have released a bunch of tablets this year, but they haven’t quite delivered on the rugged tablet market. They’ve launched in 2023 tablets like the Galaxy Tab A9, Tab S9 series and recently the Tab S9 FE units. Now they’re preparing something called Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5 (Pro), which was spotted on the Safety Korea certification.
It’s not very clear if this is actually Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5 or the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro. The listing does show an use replaceable battery, but the image is not clear enough, so you can’t make out that many details. You do see the model number, EB-BX306GBY. The device will be available in two versions, Wi-Fi only, which is SM-X300 and 5G, which is SM-X306B.
There are no other details available, like the display size, processor, or camera specs. We can expect the tablet to a midrange unit with a high end chipset and feature a durable design, that can take harsh environments. The source of the leak expects the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro to be priced at around 800 euros, much like its predecessor.
Expect a launch in early 2024.
