Samsung unveiled a little while ago a tablet for children, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite Kids Edition and now it has reached the US with a rugged case in tow. This is an affordable tablet, with an 8.7 inch HD display. Its full features list is available below.
The device comes with at least 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage and the price starts at $160, at least in the original version. AT&T has introduced a new version of the device, which is available in USA from November 4th 2022, being priced at $7 a month from AT&T. This means you don’t have to spend money upfront to get the device. AT&T will spread the payments over 36 months, for a total of $252.
The product features a 1340 x 800 pixel display, a MediaTek Helio P22T processor, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, plus a microSD card slot and a 3.5 mm audio jack. There’s a 5100 mAh battery in the mix as well. The Kids Edition features a rugged and shock resistant bumper case, with a built in kickstand, so you can rotate it and use it as a carrying handle.
There’s a Samsung Kids app on board the device, with parental controls and kid-friendly games and apps. The app lets you control how the little ones use the device. It offers the ability to limit contacts, apps and media that the kids can access, plus the amount of time they spend on the device.
It will be a tough battle on the market of tablets for kids, since this device is ready to compete with the Amazon Fire 8 HD Kids.
