Samsung Galaxy Tab A (8.0″) is the latest tablet that Samsung debuted today, with a price tag of $229.99. This entry level affair will reach USA on November 1st and it comes with a metal frame with rounded edges, plus an 8 inch screen.

The screen offers a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and 480 nits of brightness, on paper at least. This machine runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat and comes with a 5000 mAh battery. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor and also has 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, as well as a microSD card slot. The back camera is surprisingly powerful, with an 8 MP resolution and LED flash, while upfront there’s a 5 MP shooter.

This device has an USB Type-C port for charging and PC connections, as well as WiFi 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.2. From what I understood there’s also a special bundle, that offers the device with 3 months of YouTube Red and $100 worth of kid-friendly content, like games, books, movies and TV shows. There are also parental controls and you can access the Kids Mode from this machine too.

The device measures 8.9 mm in thickness, weighs 360 grams and it’ll also have a 4G LTE version. A 5000 mAh battery is inside and the product comes in black or silver.
