Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has recently been in the news, since its Limited Edition received the Honeycomb 3.1 update. Other than that we’re not given a launch date for this product in the UK, where the device will come on August 4th. Also, you will be pleased to know that the developer community has overclocked this tablet to 1.4GHz.
The kernel source code for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 was leaked online recently and this process is a follow-up to that. You must know that the 1.4GHz overlock is stable and requires an easy flash in recovery (if rooted), but more info on that you get here. The 10.1 inch weighing 565 grams joins the likes of the Motorola Xoom, another highly customizable unit that got overclocked to a stunning 1.7GHz if I’m not mistaking.
Well, at least we’ve those new dual core Archos tablet models running on dual core OMAP 1.5GHz CPUs… imagine what they’ll do with overclocking!
