During Samsung’s European Forum event in Budapest, the company announced support for live TV streaming from its Smart TVs to the freshly announced gadgets at MWC 2011. We’re talking about the Samsung Galaxy S II dual core smartphone and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 slate.

Sadly, only two television set models will support this feature, the D7000 and D8000 ranges. Specs are unknown right now, but what’s sure is the new Galaxy units will connect wirelessly to the televisions. We have no idea if this also applies to the older Galaxy Tab, but it would be cool if it did.

One thing I love with the Galaxy Tab is streaming Live and DVR events off my DISH Network receiver using the TV Everywhere app, which allows me to watch live or recorded TV anywhere I can take my tablet that has a 3G connection available. Unfortunately for Comcast customers, they have to be at home within their personal wifi network for the live TV streaming to actually work. Seems like an unnecessary hitch to put on your customers to me…
