MVP analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has always been a reliable source when it comes to Apple-related leaks and info. Today he revealed his expectactions regarding the 2019 Apple product lineup. It includes 3 new iPhones, tablets, accessories, new Macs, an Apple watch with EKG expanded in more countries. Let’s see his predictions.
Ming-Chi Kuo was an analyst with KGI Securities for a long while and now he’s working with TF International Securities. His sources are still intact and predictions quite reliable, though. That’s how we learn via a research note to clients, that we are going to get a 10.2 inch iPad this year, replacing the past two 9.7 inch slates meant for education.
A new iPad Mini is also expected, with its typical format, even keeping the Touch ID sensor. No trace of Face ID this time, in order to keep the costs down. We also have no info about the connectivity of the new iPads and if they’ll get USB Type-C ports or not. Lightning is probably the way to, like the latest iPhones, that will stick to it. Apple will once again launch new iPad Pros in the fall, with little to no detail known.
We should also finally see the long delayed AirPower wireless charging pad, albeit a bit thicker this time. Other products in the pipeline include a 6K screen Mac Pro, a new MacBooro Pro and AirPods 2.0. Turns out that a MacBook Air with as much as 32 GB of RAM is being prepared, while the Apple Watch Series 5 is going to bring EKG to more countries.
We didn’t forget about services, since Apple is rumored to unveil something new this Spring, basically a streaming service of sorts. plus a new version of Apple Music.
