Nubia just debuted the long awaited Red Magic Nova tablet, a device that sports a semi transparent design and a real cooler. The successor for the Red Magic Tablet from 2023 comes with a very powerful processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Red Magic Nova uses a special AC version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, clocked higher, thanks to a 3.4 GHz Cortex-X4 core. It’s paired with 12, 16 or even 24 GB of RAM and 256, 512 GB or 1 TB of storage. Oddly enough Nubia went with a rather small screen here, a 10.9 incher and an LCD, not an AMOLED.
It offers a 2880 x 1800 pixel resolution, in a 16:10 aspect, plus a 144 Hz refresh rate. There’s also a Super Resolution technology, available for games like Genshin Impact, increasing visual fidelity. The system relies on a 10.100 mAh battery, with support for up to 120W charging, letting it recharged to 50% in just 15 minutes.
There’s a 20 megapixel front facing camera included and a 50 megapixel main camera. It’s all secured with a fingerprint scanner embedded into the Power button and the Red Magic Nova also has a 4 speaker system and X Axis linear vibration motors. There’s also an active cooling fan with 20,000 RPM. The product comes with aluminum, glass and RGB lighting.
The colors it comes in are Cyclone and Snowfall. The tablet is only sold in China for now, starting at $565, in the 12 GB RAM, 256 GB storage version.
