CeBit 2012 was a busy time last week, less busy than MWC 2012, but still.. One of the devices spotted in Germany during CeBit was the Prestigio Multi 9.7 Android 4.0 tablet, that packs an IPS display and it’s supposed to hit the market in May with a 199 euro price tag. There’s a 9.7 inch display on board and you can see the device in action below:

The unique thing here is that actually about 80-90% of the budget tablets are 7 inch models, so this 10 incher is a treat. Also, the iPS display is a welcome bonus, as is Android ICS and a fingerprint resistant rubber back. However, the specs are pretty mediocre: 8GB of storage, microSD card slot, single core 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor and 1 GB of RAM. Notebook Italia claims that the product will hit Italy in May for 199 euros, although we have no idea of the launch will also be international.

Notice the capacitive buttons at the bottom of the slate, something that you don’t see every day on a 10 inch device. They’re certainly better than those crappy physical keys on the overpriced Lenovo business tablet from last year. Hopefully with all this pretty old hardware, the Prestigio Multi 9.7 is able to run Android 4.0 decently…
