We’ve just found some interesting pics, showing us a brand new phablet, one supposedly made by HTC. We’ve been waiting for a device like this for a while now and it seems to have been made, in an effort to give the Galaxy Note II something to compete against. This model has red accents on the edges and a red ring around the camera, reminding me a bit of the HTC Sensation XE.
It also seems to have Beats Audio branding and rumors say it’s headed to Verizon. This 5 inch device is said to support 1080p resolution, although there’s also a theory about a 1794 x 1080 pixel resolution, in order to leave room for virtual Android keys. That matter is solved already by looking at one of the pictures, that shows capacitive keys in the mix. While some may think this is in fact the rumored HTC One X+, that one may come with a Tegra 3 1.7 GHz CPU, while this is more of a quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro affair.
The phablet is also supposed to run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, support LTE and it should also have at least 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, plus an 8 or even 13 megapixel camera at the back. With IFA 2012 approaching its end now, I guess that we’ll see a separate unveiling event soon enough.
