There’s a new affordable tablet out there, the Perfeo 9706-IPS, a model that packs a 9.7 inch IPS display and goes for about $232. As far as I know, this model is only sold in Russia for now. It supports Bluetooth 4.0 wireless technology and a pleasant surprise is the fact that this device runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The new product offers a 4:3 aspect ratio and relies on a dual core RK3066 1.5 GHz processor, that provides it with the ability to play full HD video. On the tablet you’ll find preinstalled Yandex services and apps, as usual in Russia. Other specs include 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal flash storage and a microSD card slot. The Perfeo 9706-IPS even has two cameras, HDMI output, two USB ports and the option to connect 3G modems and external hard drives.
As far as design goes, the case is made of aluminum and under it we find a pretty big 8000 mAh battery, that should provide about 10 hours of use, excellent for a cheaper slate. The product goes on slate this month.
