Remix OS has been evolving a lot over the past years, starting off as a desktop-version of Android. We find this platform on the Onda oBook10 SE, a device that was freshly announced din China and it’s already up for sale on, for an affordable $142.

The device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop at its core, with Remix OS 2.0 applied on top. We’re dealing with a 10.1 inch slate, with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and a quad core Intel Bay Trail Z3735F CPU clocked at 1.33 GHz. It also has 2 GB of RAM, Intel HD Graphics Gen 7, 32 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and a main 2 megapixel camera.

There’s also an HDMI port, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and a microUSB 2.0 port as well. Charging is done via DC port. The battery here is a 5400 mAh unit, able to provide a good functioning time. Onda oBook10 SE is made of metal and measures just 8 mm in thickness, with a weight of 680 grams. There’s also a magnetic keyboard dock in the mix, that looks very nice.
