NTT DoCoMo made a lot of announcements today, basically unveiling their Spring lineup, that aside from huge smartphones included a tablet. Said tablet is the Huawei dtab, an updated 10 inch tablet from the Chinese company. Dtab is not that impressive, at least when it comes to the screen, that supports a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution.

There’s also a 3 megapixel camera on board, but at least the CPU sounds reasonably good: a quad core K3V2T processor at 1.2 GHz. The tablet measures 9.9 mm in thickness and it has a quite impressive 6020 mAh battery. Dtab will be released by NTT DoCoMo in March and the Sony Xperia Tablet Z will be on offer through the same carrier in the same month.

This tablet runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, it has a 1.3 megapixel front camera and sadly it’s not waterproof or dustproof, unlike the rest of NTT DoCoMo’s other devices. Also lacking are TV antennae and One Seg broadcasting services. The design kind of reminds me of a Galaxy Tab, but only a bit.
