After the rumors saying that Android 4.3 will debut on a white Nexus 4 were dismissed, it’s time to wait for the Nexus 7 2 theory to come to life. That one says that the new Android will debut on a new version of the Nexus 7 and today we get related news…
It appears that a version of the Nexus 7 with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on board has been officially spotted at Bluetooth SIG. The authority is the one that gives clearance for devices to use Bluetooth standards. It’s basically an FCC for connectivity and the Nexus 7 mentioned here really interests us. The certification is dated May 27th and the version of OS on board is clearly mentioned as Android 4.3.
JWR11 is the software build written on the document, so it’s clearly not Android 4.2. The Nexus 4 leaked with Android 4.3 last week had a build listing of JWR45B, so even newer than that. This means that the document may actually attest to a normal Nexus 7 with an older build of Android 4.3, meant for testing purposes. The model number of the device is ASUS ME370T, that’s the same as the Nexus 7.
