NEC is known for revolutionary designs of mobile devices showcased at various tech shows, but their real life products aren’t half bad either. For example today they’ve debuted two new tablets, that are part of the Lavie series. They’re called Lavie Tab and Lavie Tab S.

The NEC Lavie Tab S is a midrange tablet with a 8 inch Full HD screen, IPS LCD panel and an 8 megapixel back camera, plus a 5 MP selfie shooter. It relies on a the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 CPU, an octa core unit clocked at 2 GHz, accompanied by 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. There’s WiFi a/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and the case is dust proof and waterproof, within the IP5X and IPX2 standard. There’s a 4250 mAh battery here, good enough for 8 hours of usage.

The device also gets Dolby Atmos acoustics and the price is $274. Deliveries start in January 2017. Then we’ve got the NEC Lavie Tab , with a 7 inch 720p display, a Snapdragon 410 CPU, 5 MP main camera and front 2 MP shooter. There’s 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage, a 3500 mAh battery and Dolby Atmos acoustics. The price is $188 and sales start on November 4th.
