Out of nowhere the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 tablet just leaked and not from one, but rather two sources. Together with it the Project Neon initiative got mentioned, that initiative that involves changing the UI in Windows. MS is rumored to launch the new Surface with the Windows 10 Creators update in the March-April time frame.

The tablet has been spotted via an image published on the official Microsoft News site and then it appeared as a name in the Linkedin profile of a Microsoft employee. The profile also mentions the name “Neon”, the upcoming new Windows 10 design language, that will be used on multiple platforms. Project Neon is based on transparency, gray and consistent backgrounds and an approach meant to rival Material Design.

The Surface Pro 5 hasn’t been specced yet, but we expect it to come with Core i7 or Core i5 CPUs of the latest generation, a new stylus, 8 GB of RAM or more, 128 GB of SSD storage, going up to 1 TB this time perhaps and a price of around $900 to start with. The screen is going to be a 12.3 incher or maybe larger and we should also get a generous battery inside.

Compatibility with the latest Surface accessories should happen.
