After we heard a lot of rumors lately about a Surface Mini tablet, it seems that now we find out when this tablet will be released officially. Microsoft has just send some press invites for a Surface event that will take play on May 20th at 11 am EDT / 8 AM PDT, an event where we’ll probably see the Mini version of the Surface tablet.
As you can see in the invite above the word small it’s there suggesting that the product that will be released during this event will be the Surface Mini tablet. This new Microsoft Surface tablet could pack a 8-inch display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor instead of a Ndivia Tegra SoC that was choosed for the Surface 2.
Also, the Surface Mini slate will arrive with Office preinstalled and it will support an active digitizer like a pen or a stylus. It’s expected that the person who will announce the tablet to be no one else but Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella.
