Microsoft announced today a new version of the Surface 2, one with AT&T 4G LTE and a price tag of $679. The product is available now and it’s a 64 GB unit, in case you’re wondering. It also features mobile broadband and the price you pay extra here for 4G is about $130.
The product was announced after it actually appeared already in retail stores and at Best Buy, on March 11th. The extra cost of the Surface 2 means you’ll also be getting free Skype calling to landlines in over 60 countries for one year, unlimited Skype WiFi for one year and 200 GB of free OneDrive storage for 2 years.
Of course, specs say the same, so you get a Surface 2 with LTE, with a 10.6 inch Full HD display, an Nvidia Tegra 4 processor and Windows 8.1 RT. That’s accompanied by Office 2013 RT, a two position kickstand, full size USB 3.0 ports and a 3.5 megapixel front camera, as well as a 5 megapixel back shooter.
