Microsoft slashed the Surface Pro price yet again with another $100, so the 64 GB version is priced at $699. The 128 GB unit goes for $799 and the 256 GB unit goes for $999.
This comes after a first drop of $100 back in August, but you should remember that the new price only applies to US and Canada. The series of reductions started in July, with the Surface RT, that reached $349 for the 32 GB model and $499 for the 64 GB slate. The latter has been reduced to $399 in the meantime.
Keep in mind that in September, when Microsoft announced the Surface 2 and Surface 2 Pro, they said they would only keep the Surface, but not the Pro. Still, there are some Pro units that need to be cleared out of the stock. Once the stock is out, MS will focus on the Surface 2 products.
