Indian company Micromax has released a brand new device called Canvas LapTab, a tablet that combines Android with Windows 8.1. The product will be showcased at CES 2014 over the following days.
It has the ability to boot into Windows 8.1 and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and it offers buyers OS flexibility, since it doesn’t force you to commit to a single OS. The Canvas LapTab has a simple design and a pretty thin keyboard accessory from what I can see. It packs a 10.1 inch 1280 x 800 pixel display and a 2 megapixel camera at the front, plus one with the same res at the back.
There’s an Intel 1.46 GHz processor inside, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of on board storage. The battery here is a 7400 mAh unit and the pricing is unknown yet. The slate is expected to hit Indian stores next month.
