We’ve heard about the LG Optimus Pad LTE a while ago, as the first slate with 4G LTE connectivity to be developed by LG. This device was leaked previously, but now we have some fresh pics and specifications for it. Rumors say that the device will be launched on December 15th, but that date was denied by LG officials.
The slate is still most likely to arrive this year, maybe in time for the Christmas holidays. The new images came from Asia and show the Optimus Pad LTE with duct tape on the edges, while the second pic below shows the device next to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. LG Optimus Pad LTE packs an 8.9 inch TFT WXGA touchscreen with 1280 x768 pixel resolution, a 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm processor and 1GB of built in memory, plus a microSD card slot.
There’s also a dual camera with 3D video shooting, including an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 1 3. megapixel cam upfront. The OS here is Android 3.2.1 Honeycomb and future upgrades to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich were promised. Frankly, this tablet doesn’t look any more appealing than the Optimus Pad, that was a failure…
