Yes, LG still makes tablets, although the South Koreans don’t brag about them as much as they did when they made ones with 3D cameras and screens. One of them is the LG G Pad X 10.1, that’s just received an Android 6.0 Marshmallow update on AT&T.
This model is seen as a premium device, with solid specs and a 10.1 inch screen. The update comes with a 869 MB software package and it bumps up the slate’s software version V93020f, while the build number goes to MRA58K. The security level patch will also be updated to May 2016 once everything is done. AT&T also published a changelog for the update, saying that they removed some of the apps, but also added new ones.
Keeper and Kindle apps are gone, but myAT&T is now preloaded. Ready2Go has been replaced by Setup & Transfer, while AT&T Mail and AT&T Message have a VPL added. AT&T Locker reaches version 2.0 and as usual we get security updates, performance enhancements and bug fixes. Android Marshmallow also brings Google Now on Tap, Doze battery saver, improved permissions and RAM management.
