We haven’t reported on a Lenovo product for a while now, much less a phablet. Now we’ve got the Lenovo Vibe Z model, a 5.5 incher with a Snapdragon 800 processor, that went official in India this week.

This high end device was originally announced late last year, so you’re probably familiar with the Vibe Z on paper. This is a 1080p device with 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage, a 13 megapixel back camera and a 5 megapixel front webcam. It runs Android 4.3 from the box and relies on a 3000 mAh battery, that if you ask me, could have had a higher capacity.

The Vibe Z is sold for about $580 in India, making it a pretty pricey product. Lenovo has registered some success in India with a few older products, so if they play their cards right they may get nice sales. A lower price would be a good start, but let’s see how this high end affair ends…
