Lenovo ThinkPad 8 is now available in stores with a price tag of $429. This model stands out of the crowd of 8 inch Windows 8 slates with a slightly larger screen and support for more storage, among others.

There will also be a $399 32 GB model and a higher priced 128 GB unit. The Lenovo ThinkPad 8 features an atypical 8.3 inch screen with a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution and a very slim bezel. There’s 2 GB of RAM on board, WiFi support, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 20.5 Whr battery, good enough for 8 hours of run time.

The slate has a microSD card slot, microUSB and microHDMI ports. The product is designed to work with Lenovo accessories, such as a magnetic cover that turns off the display when it’s closed. Lenovo also plans to offer a docking station that allows you to connect a keyboard, mouse, display and other peripherals.
